When you think of Arizona, many will recall the cacti-filled deserts, fiery sunsets, gorgeous mountain ranges and of course – the heat. But for me, I see each of these things as their own characters just playfully waiting for their breakout role as my clients take center stage. Okay, well maybe not the heat but we’ll push through it together.

Whether you’re an expecting mama, hopeless romantic, a fierce leader to a tribe of littles, a badass boss who’s focused on building your empire, or you fall somewhere in between, my passion goes beyond just capturing life’s most special moments and instead helping my clients feel good so they can relive these moments for a lifetime to come.

So, what does a session with me look like? Once the t’s have been crossed and i’s dotted, location scouting begins. Whether you book one of my mini-sessions (that has a pre-determined spot) or can’t decide between a water, desert, urban, rural or wildflower backdrop, we’ll work together to find the right destination for your vision. I’ll also have you complete a questionnaire so I can get to know you and your family a bit better. From there, I supply each of my clients with a customized Client Experience Guide that will walk you through everything from what to expect before, during and after your session to style ideas and tips for working with kids. Through each step, I’ll be sure to keep you looped in with detailed instructions on our next steps.

This brings us to shoot day! My goal when I walk onto a set is to make you feel like your absolute best self and to focus on capturing your relationships, how you interact with one another and your natural authenticity - whether this is your first time shooting or you’ve had professional photography done before. Remember, you’ve embarked on this journey to capture this specific moment in your life – so let’s have a little fun while we’re at. Whether you need a good knock-knock joke, some witty banter to lighten the mood or a few dinosaur roars to ignite those little belly laughs we crave, I’ll be there every step of the way to ensure you’re comfortable and feeling free. 

Throughout the session, I’ll be using gentle, yet clear direction while you engage in natural day-to-day movements whether that’s walking, playing or giving your loved ones a warm embrace. While striking poses and doing calculated movements may feel new (or even hectic with little kids), know that I shoot quickly, efficiently and I've been told my disarming personality helps get the best results. As your unique personality, eclectic charm and everything that makes you, you begin to emerge, the real magic starts to  happen. Combine this with gorgeous natural light that artfully draws in golden, earthy and creamy hues and you have a still moment in time that you can cherish for eternity.
